Job Description

Start date: 6th July 2020

Location: Filton

To stay on top, Airbus recognises the importance of supporting high-achieving and talented undergraduates. We do this through offering challenging internship opportunities during which your skills and potential are fully maximised.

Our internships give a unique insight into potential career paths within Airbus. They are designed so that you can put your theoretical knowledge into practice and gain crucial industry experience. The skills and knowledge you gain will improve your chances of a future role within the Airbus and should benefit your future studies.

The role of the Integrated Systems Shared Resources Domain is to provide shared computing and data concentration resources (I/O - Input/Output - for systems). From an Aircraft programme perspective the main links are with the Fuel and Landing Gear teams, providing support for the integration of applications and their ongoing development.

A significant element is related to R&T, investigating the expansion of the shared resources perimeter, with a view to optimise the avionics platform definition. The primary topic within the team is the management of the I/O (Input/Output) - including fibre optics, and support to other systems teams requiring avionics expertise (including systems installation related activities with the Wing of the Future team).

Our Interns are expected to contribute to both the programme activities and R&T, so experience will be gained on the industrial aspects and the future vision. The programme related activities can be high pressure, with tight timescales, and Interns are expected to contribute as a full team member.
