Description of the job :
A position of Telecom Satellite Engineer (m/f) has just opened within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join the Satellite Design Group (TESTD).

The Satellite Design Group is in charge to complete and configure the spacecraft definition on behalf of project team using as far as possible standardized units and following standard processes.

As part of the Satellite Design Group, you will be responsible for the satellite external accommodation activities during the proposal and the custom phase:
- Antennas, Horns and Sensors accommodation,
- Deployment Kinematic,
- Fairing Compatibility,
- Deployment Thruster Module Assembly (DTMA) Accommodation.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks will include:

- Leading, for the antenna and the satellite customisation managers, the satellite external accommodation activities,
- Supporting the technical manager and the RF Engineer during BID phase with regard to the spacecraft and the antenna configurations,
- Managing the antenna interfaces with the platform structure, the antenna suppliers, the antenna and the repeater groups,
- Driving the design office activities to issue, in time and in quality, the IRD’s (Interface Required Documents),
- Supporting workshops with the antenna suppliers,
- Supporting standardisation of IRD’s, standardisation of interfaces with platform/mechanism, etc.,
- Supporting Antenna MSC for R&D activities,
- Fostering digitalization of engineering activities.

Required skills :
You have the experience and the following skills:

- Master’s degree in Engineering,
- 3 years of experience in satellite engineering (mechanical, thermal, AIT, Design Office etc.),
- Ideally, an initial experience in a field related to satellite accommodation and/or knowledge of the Telecom Platform,
- Good ccommunication skills,
- Autonomous, Reactivity, Adaptability
- Good team player,
- Languages skills: negotiation level of English and French.
