Description of the job

A vacancy for an Industrial Tooling and Mechanics Specialist (m/f) has arisen within Airbus at its Toulouse site in France.

You will join the Mechanics and Electronics Design department, within the Avionics Products and Simulation group.

Avionics and Simulation organisation is an in-house avionics equipment and simulators supplier. The engineers
working there are responsible for the design, development, production and support of critical embedded products
(such as flight controls, flight warnings, communication and maintenance equipment) on all Airbus aircraft. This organisation is also a "Chamber of Reference" for software and hardware due to the high level of qualification and experience from its teams. Its scope of activity also extends to other Airbus divisions and partners, where appropriate.

The Electronic product department main task is to design and manufacture electronics for
embedded computers.

In close collaboration with the design, production and industrialisation teams, you will be responsible for the definition
up to entry into service (preliminary design, definition, design, manufacturing by the service provider, entry into service, in-service follow-up and documentation) of all the tools necessary for the industrialisation of electronic computers.

These tools will be developed in accordance with customer requirements (needs, planning, cost, quality, ergonomics, etc.)
Independently, you will be able to provide your innovative ideas on designs and tools with the objective of improving the production (cycle, cost, ergonomics, non quality, etc.)

Furthermore, you will have a global view of all AIRBUS programmes with regards to avionics
equipment (flight control computers, flight warning computers, etc.)

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and activities will include:

·  Responsible for the mechanical design of electronic computers
·  Responsible for all industrial tooling for the production shop
·  and manufacturing dossiers (box integration)

Required skills

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to an Engineering degree level (5-year degree) in Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing or equivalent
·  Initial experience in the design of mechanical parts and/or tools
·  Excellent communication skills
·  Ability to take initiatives and to work independently
·  Negotiation level of French
·  Intermediate level in English
