Description of the job

A vacancy for a Indicating Recording System specialist (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Blagnac. You will join Maintenance Indicating & Recording Department only.
You will to the Manager in a team (roughly 20 pax.) of engineers responsible for indicating, recording, maintenance Systems engineering customer support to Airlines.
Within the framework of the Customer Services, and in accordance with the Engineering function (SEE) policies and procedures, you will provide engineering assistance to the customers worldwide, ensuring timely responses, good quality and on-site assistance as necessary.
An AOG (A/C On Ground) request is usually answered within 4 hours (max 8 hours).
A critical/regular request must be answered within 7 calendar days.
You will support AIRBUS aircraft in-service operations, as well as associated disruptions, detect in-service technical issues and its impact on AIRBUS fleet, and launches appropriate corrective action with the relevant Design Organisation.
You will ensure the Return of Experience (REX) to AIRBUS Design Organisation, Programs, as well as vendors, in term of product reliability and effectiveness to fulfil customer requirements.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
The job holder may be accountable for (all AIRBUS programs):

·  ATA31 (Recording systems / Control & display sytems)
·  ATA45 (On board maintenance sytems)
·  ATA33 (Lights)
·  Answering technical concerns and needs raised by the customer; on time & quality,
·  Analysing in-service reported events and detect impact on airworthiness, reliability, quality, cost of ownership (operations),
·  Launching and follow-up appropriate actions towards vendors and/or design office organisation to investigate in-service issues, exhibit root causes and/or contributing factors, and define corrective actions,
·  Ensuring the Voice Of the Customers to all stakeholders (define appropriate solutions),
·  Delivering technical information & documents towards AIRBUS customers (Maintenance & Engineering), such as:
·  Technical Follow-Up (TFU): Description of the technical issue & its mitigation/workaround, and action plan to final fix,
·  In-Service Information: tips and best practices based on experience (FAQ),
·  Transmission: OIT/AOT, on the spot communication dealing with retrofit, significant evolution, Airworthiness Directives to come, down to A/C inspection to ensure Continued Airworthy,
·  Technical Adaptation (TA): AIRBUS approved document ; DOA (EASA delegation).
·  Providing solutions to complex trouble shooting situations, including AOG situation,
·  Providing Customers with on-site technical assistance (troubleshooting or workshops/services),
·  Supporting technical stand-by (AOG) assistance to AIRTAC (AIRBUS AOG call center, 24/7),
·  Providing Engineering support to other Customer Services functions,
·  Providing feedback (internally) on his/her activities,
·  Attending technical meetings with Engineering, vendors and other Airbus entities/department,
·  Carrying out complex technical matters with direct impact on safety or economics,
·  Attending international conference/meeting involving international organizations.

This role will involve some travel for business (once/month) worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Qualified engineer preferably Avionics,
·  Knowledge in A/C systems (Avionics),
·  Knowledge in Trouble Shooting technics,
·  Knowledge of commercial A/C operations would be a plus,
·  A/C flight data analysis (based on DFDR) would be a plus,
·  Investigation skills(integrated electronic data processing systems),
·  Communication Skills,
·  Customer minded,
·  Ability to cope with demanding environment (management and customer); both reactive & proactive modes
·  Tenacious, team Work
·  Teamwork
·  Language skills: Advanced level of English
