Job Description

It will be enabled by a set of innovative concepts such as model based system engineering, modular product lines, digital continuity and concurrent co-design of the product, its industrial setup and operability features.

A vacancy for a Digital Design, Manufacturing & Services (DDMS) Methods Engineer specialist in Configuration Management with a focus on Digital Transformation has arisen within Airbus Toulouse. In the context of the manufacturing transformation journey , you will be in charge of projects covering the ME Configuration Management processes, methods, tools and competences supported by the 3D Experience (Dassault) solution.

You will join the Central Manufacturing Engineering Work Preparation Function of Airbusin th ME Work Preparation & Execution department, responsible for the Work Preparation processes, methods, tools and competences . This function is part of the Airbus Production System Efficiency organization which is responsible for deploying, maintaining and supporting reliable, efficient and integrated production solutions to Operations, in order to enable industrial excellence and contribute to the Company’s profitability and competitiveness.

ME Work Preparation & Execution Scope:

• All Airbus plants and Final Assembly Lines

• All Aircraft Programs

• ME work preparation and Shop floor guidance

• ME configuration Management (Delta 2)

• Numerical Control Programming

Main deliverables:

• New ME Configuration Management set-up with 3D Experience tool (3DX)

• Level 3 (expertise) support

• New process, methods, tools & competences

• Coaching, communication & facilitation in the plants

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Lead deployment of new ME set-up with 3D Experience solution as part of the Product Life Cycle (PLM) One Platform journey
·  Lead or contribute to projects as part of the ME Work Preparation & Execution Process-Methods-Tools Roadmap
·  Contribute to Work Preparation Excellence journey supporting our Production System maturity objectives, the deployment of our Preparation and Execution System and the ramp-up of our key Programs
·  Develop ME competences, knowledge & community of practice
·  Provide ME expertise to the Plants & FALs to support

This role will involve some travel for business once or twice a month in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 4/5years degree level (or equivalent)
·  Project leader and change management experience
·  Configuration Management experience
·  Manufacturing and/or ME experience
·  3DX Tool knowledge
·  Very good communication and interpersonal skills
·  Stakeholders management
·  Negotiation and influencing skills
·  Ability to work in a transnational environment
·  Strong ability for change management
·  Language Skills: negotiation level of English.
