Description of the job

A vacancy for a Hard Metal Cold & Hot Forming Specialist (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.
You will join the manufacturing technologies department.

The department is responsible for the management of the manufacturing technologies used in the plant to produce elementary parts and assembly them. It is in charge of improving existing technologies & developing new ones for our future products.
The department is an active relay for the transverse functions in order to disseminate best practices for the interest of the plant & Airbus.

·  You will be accountable for hard metal forming (cold & hot) methods activities in Part Manufacturing for St Eloi plant.
·  You can also be involved in the heat treatment process applied to hard metals.
·  You will support plant production, lead improvement and R&T projects, support APT (Airbus Process & Technology) Metal network for his/her activity.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and activities:

·  Supporting production to set-up technical issues on forming technologies to allow day to day delivery.
·  Managing the industrialization of the formed Hard Metals (Titanium alloys, stainless steel, Inconel …) metallic components of the pylons of new programs from design to final forming, finishing and control (end to end process) according to industrialization official schedule
·  Proposing & Managing improvement and innovation for the hard metal forming processes in order to decrease RC (recurring cost) and NRC (non-recurring cost), non-quality, production cycle, …
·  Proposing & Managing R&T projects for the hard metal forming processes
·  Managing AIPI (Airbus Manufacturing documentation) and be the transverse focal point for the hard metal forming technologies. Influencing transverse functions for the benefit of your technologies & projects.
·  Supporting investment in machines by the plant for your technologies as well as transverse projects such as SPC (statistical process control) and Big Data.
·  Setting-up & managing your budget and your subcontracted activities.
·  Participating to REX (return of experience), improvement of Manufacturing Capability Dossier (MCD) and tolerancing activities.
·  Supporting and managing the same type of activities as above for the heat treatment process applied to hard metals.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a degree level in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
·  Knowledge of forming of hard metals in hot and cold conditions
·  Material / Mechanics knowledge
·  Project Management skills
·  Customer oriented
·  Financial analysis
·  Rigorous / structured way of working
·  Ability to work in team as leader or support
·  Ability to take initiative and to convince
·  Networking skills
·  Advanced level of English
·  Advanced level of French
