Description of the job

A vacancy for a FMS 4D function leader (m/f) has arisen within Airbus test center in Toulouse. You will join the Navigation/Surveillance & FMS department within Engineering.

You will be in charge of performing the Lab integration testing & flight test analysis of FMS 4D function.

Note : FMS is the principle system used by the pilot to lead his mission.

Therefore, this position allows you to acquire and practice on bench and simulator the pilot mission, the flight execution.

You will be interfaced with design office, test teams, programs, Subcontractors.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Defining, preparing and executing FMS 4D function tests for its development on A350 and A380. Continuous development on Single Aisle & Long Range.
·  Preparing and performing and analysis and associated tools of the first serial A/C equipped with 4D function (~100 A/C in 2018) in order to demonstrate the added value of this function.
·  Participating to SESAR2020 to contribute to propose and put in place disruptive improvements of 4D function.

This role will involve some travel for business once a trimester worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Master level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
·  You have or are willing to improve your technical A/C system/function knowledge through testing, exchanges with Design Office and flight crew, especially on FMS, which is key systems involved in pilots A/C operations
·  ATM and or FMS knowledge is mandatory
·  Project management knowledge
·  Engaged / curious / creative mindset.
·  Team working spirit
·  Language Skills: Advanced level in English and Negotiation level in French is mandatory
