Job Description:

A vacancy for an Export Control Officer/ Technology Control Officer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space SAU branch in Kazakhstan.

The main objective of this function is to ensure an end-to-end export control process allowing a permanent tracking of project export issues at any step of the product development and to prevent any deficiency related to export controls that would cause delays, additional cost, or sanctions and fines. Furthermore this function will support the enabling of export compliant business to protect Airbus from violations.

Main task and responsibilities will include:

·  Continuously track the evolution of Kazakhstan national and other international applicable laws and regulations, liaise with relevant government authorities and coordinate corresponding internal export control requirements for the branch.
·  Issue internal directives for export compliant processes (e.g. procurement, IT, foreign nationals) to ensure a proper Export Control Plan and a Technology Control Plan are implemented and inform all relevant stakeholders about their respective responsibilities.
·  Manage export control risks and support other operational functions to manage theirs
·  Provide permanent advice and support, including on tools, and deliver training to relevant business functions for a continuous performance improvement of these functions and the whole export compliance within the branch.
·  Export license management, including applying for export licenses, recordkeeping, physical checks on classification and sanctions management.
·  Define, update and enforce end-to-end export control processes. Ensure national export control licenses are in place in order to get timely clearance for export of technology.
·  Anticipate the customer’s needs by supporting any export control related activities.
·  Support and coordinate actions of the supply chain and any transfer of technology.
·  Monitor and update list of IT Tools and documentation subject to export restriction.

Required experience and skills:

·  Bachelor in Law, Export, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
·  Experience and knowledge in the field of U.S. and Kazakhstan export controls
·  Experience in international programme business
·  At a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar position
·  English and Russian at negotiation level
·  Organizational and communication skills
