Description of the job

A new job position is now open to in Nantes Manufacturing Engineering !

You will integrate Manufacturing Technologies for assembly team (12 people). Involvement, mutual support and conviviality are our main team values.

You will be responsible as a ME Tolerancing & Capability specialist for deploying industrial capability methodology in Airbus Nantes plant and negotiating with design office on tolerance requirements in order to enable a capable process manufacturing (process, means, J&T, general assy, system installation). The position is transverse for the plant interacting with all the CDTs, all programs (metallic, CFRP structural parts, Assembly and installations)

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Ensure tolerancing expertise for ME processes
- Analyse interface tolerances cascades (bottom up and top down) in order to define best manufacturing solution for new program development
- Propose convergence initiatives between engineering requirements and industrial processes
- Update manufacturing capability documents for elementary parts, sub assembly, general assembly, tubes & pipes
- Support operations and quality teams by investigating non conformities. Propose and implement mitigation and improvement solutions
- Establish the necessary specifications/requirements for measurement production system
- Qualify and validate new measurement systems and processes, and update measurement technical and qualification documentation
- Propose innovative and attractive cost savings projects for measurement activities, make them funded and manage their implementation
- Support R&T measurement and tolerancing subjects for the plant
- Support the SPC (Statistical Process Control) set up on manufacturing technologies
- Ensure harmonization of measurement means especially in terms of software & MAA too (management of 3D measurement data: be the focal point and prepare data in cooperation with work preparation). Ensure technical risk analysis about measurement in P-FMEA
- Contribute to solve major problem
