Description of the job

A position of Electric Propulsion Electronic Referent has just opened within Airbus Defence & Space / Space Systems in Toulouse. You will join the electric propulsion department (TESEP).
You will lead engineering activities related to the development and/or manufacturing of electronics driving electric propulsion thrusters for Telecom satellite application.
You will report to the head of Electric Propulsion department in Toulouse.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be in charge of the following main activities:

·  You will be the referent (Equipment Functional Responsible) within the Electric propulsion group for all topics linked with an electronic equipment

·  You will be the responsible from the technical specification up to the final validation, qualification review and equipment delivery in-orbit (with support of the procurement team for the Supplier relationship management and of the Electric Propulsion technical authority / referents for technical aspects)

·  You will define and set-up the appropriate development plan and industrial scheme if necessary (with support of the procurement team) and validate the compliance to the technical specification of your development

·  You will work in collaboration with the Electric Propulsion and System architects and participate to the analysis of propulsion chain design (performances and justification file) and qualification status versus the satellite project/Customer requirements

·  You will participate to the different equipment and/or satellite project reviews (Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, Test Review Board)

Business travels can be expected (once a month) in (in the world) and consequently, you must be willing to travel accordingly.

Required skills

·  Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

·  Several years in high voltage electronic development for space projects (> 3-5 years), RF experience would be a plus

·  Capability to interface with different technical areas e.g. mechanical/thermal/electrical/functional

·  Rigorous, good communication and synthesis skills

·  Ability to work within a team environment with a positive attitude

·  English
