A vacancy for a Digital Signal Processing and V&V EFA has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .
The successful applicant will join Engineering Department .

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  System/Test Engineer,
·  Lead V&V activities for EFA Program:

o Prepare Test Plan for Lab, Ground and Flight.
o Subsystem and Extended Rig test coordination,
o Test procedures edition, coverage and traceability,
o Perform and/or monitor tests.
o Release test analysis & correlation reports after test completion.
o Opening System Problems Reports (SPRs) and Test Reports edition after tests execution and analysis.
o Bench tools Maintenance and new upgrades,
o Support feasibility studies for new products/user needs,
• Digital signal processing coding for:
o Testing result analysis,
o Noise reduction algorithm improvement,
o Intelligibility and Quality measurement
o Aligned to Communication Department needed

·  Lead on technical aspects related with Signal processing in the Audio field: Dynamic Processor, Audio Compressors, Noise reduction and Voice Activity Detection.

• Propose and Elaborate modelling and prototyping methods for Audio Issues.
• Propose Simulate and Validate technical solutions in order to improve current Audio means using DSPs (Digital Signal Processors) or any other modelling /prototyping tool.
• Elaborate and Validate Audio equipment specifications based on RBE (Requirement Based Engineering) or MBSE (Model Based System Engineering).
• Propose and lead R&T projects related with Signal processing or other Audio technology related.
• Support R&D activities in order to provide the best solution to program necessities.

Ability to :

·  Identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and Provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements. Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates
·  Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements
·  Work closely sharing both industrial and functional design view, from the very early stages of the design through the serial production phase and up to the in- service life of the product (whole product lifecycle), working in close collaboration between the Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and any other disciplines involved throughout the whole product lifecycle.
·  Steer an external WP developped by a Supplier & sub- contractor from selection till final delivery
·  A specific focus on leadership is required for operational management of multifunctional team & suppliers monitoring. Manage development, qualification, certification, serial support and change of sub-system equipment component or module since the offer phase, through contract signature, in service life including obsolescence management until disposal. This includes specification writing, supplier management then proceeding with design until qualification taking into account all stakeholders including training, support, test and manufacturing.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Engineering , valuable PhD/Telecommunications Engineering Degree.
·  Experience in Engineering
·  Experience as researcher on Signal processing field:

o Noise Reduction Algorithm experience applied to human speech,
o Knowledge in Communication (Audio & Radio) Technology domain,
o Knowledge on Voice characteristics (considered as a signal),
o Knowledge on HRTF algorithms,
o Knowledge on Synthetic Voice,

·  Testing environment (MaTE, SEAS, LabVIEW) and Test benches upgrades and control,
·  Knowledge on different A/C platforms would a plus.
·  Reporting activities generation (DOORS, DMS, PCMS),
·  System software development with;
·  MATLAB for data analysis and programming; GUIs implementation.
·  Model Based Systems Development as Simulink.
·  Use of 1553/3910 optic fiber bus analyzer and bus recording,
·  AIRBUS DS procedures knowledges,
·  Problem solving and decision making,
·  Assertiveness
·  English & Spanish :Fluent
