Description of the job

You are passionate about IT, experienced in software development techniques and convinced by the business added value of the digitalization?

The Airbus' Information Management (IM) division and Digital Accelerator department are looking for a Mixed Reality – Prototypes Developer Leader (m/f) to join his new “Holographic Academy” team in Toulouse, France.

Using Agile principles and ways of working, the “Holographic Academy” team will partner with business leaders and product owners in the Digital Transformation of the company to develop prototypes, business applications and products linked to Mixed Reality. Following the roadmap defined by the Mixed Reality Program Leader, the team interacts with a wide range of stakeholders, supporting them to make Mixed Reality a company commonality.

Mixed Reality refers to the merging of real and virtual elements. It encompasses Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Your role will be to be responsible for the development of prototypes that will help any Airbus department measure how Mixed Reality technologies can be used to bring value for Airbus (whether in terms of productivity, quality, comfort, etc.). In this mission, you will report to the Holographic Academy Team Leader.

Tasks & accountabilities

Specific responsibilities of the position are:
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
ø Scout and benchmark Mixed Reality technologies to be able to permanently know the capabilities of the existing and coming devices,
ø Coordinate the development of Mixed Reality Early Prototypes in order to help businesses measure the value brought by such solutions,
ø Closely link with the Mixed Reality Ambassador to ensure appropriate priorities and the exact fit of the developed prototypes with the businesses expectations,
ø Animate the network of Holographic Academies and affiliated labs,
ø Closely link with the whole Holographic Academy team to guaranty consistency, continuity and efficiency of all Mixed Reality Solutions developed within the team,
ø Actively participate to development of prototypes and even Mixed Reality operational applications or frameworks,

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

Your Boarding Pass
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
ø Master's Degree ideally in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (or equivalent),
ø Strong experience in object oriented software architecture, design and development,
ø Proven experience in AR/VR software design and development,
ø Relevant experience in using Unity,
ø Knowledge of 3D models simplification skills (formats and pipeline),
ø Passion for quality and consistency in software design and development,
ø Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks concurrently,
ø Advanced level in English, French would be a plus.

As a plus,
ø Proven Agile experience working in cross-functional Agile teams from inception to release,
ø 3D modeling skills.
