Description of the job

As part of our Digital Transformation, two vacancies for a AWS Architect & DevOps/Customer Reliability Engineer (m/f) have arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Digital Accelerator a department of IM (Information Management) organization.
The Digital Accelerator is about making the benefits of digital technologies available to Airbus so we can bring value to market much faster, while retaining quality and scale.
CREs are strong technical individuals who are deeply customer-focused. They assist project and product teams with the design and implementation of their solutions in our Public Cloud Platforms, which puts them the front-line of the Cloud adoption at Airbus. As a CRE you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers have the best experience possible in their journey to the Cloud.
CREs provide an important link between the customers and the engineering teams and reshape traditional IT environments and designs to enable Cloud Platforms adoption in our business. They assist our customers by contributing to designs and implementing new infrastructure operating models that make best use of cloud solutions. They combine engineering experience and an innate drive to improve existing systems and processes with the creativity to develop novel solutions to evolving challenges.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

¤ Designing and implementing the automated infrastructure of the Airbus Public Cloud Platforms via highly-available, scalable, maintainable, monitored systems and services
¤ Being responsible for the operational availability of the Airbus Public Cloud Platforms
¤ Optimising resources utilisation while guarantying applications performance and reliability
¤ Developing, updating and using CI/CD pipelines to allow fully automated deployments of API services across all environments from Development, Q&A, to Production
¤ Working in small and self-sufficient multi-disciplinary teams responsible for end to end product development

This role will involve some travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

Skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in IT or a related discipline
·  Strong experience with Enterprise Cloud platform deployments at scale: AWS, Azure, Google, OVH knowledge (any certification will be appreciated)
·  Great test-driven coding abilities in Python, Go, Java, PowerShell, bash, or JavaScript
·  Experience with application orchestration and packaging (Jenkins, Bamboo, Packer, Artifactory, Nexus)
·  Proven track record working in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects
·  Negotiation level of English
