Description of the job

You are passionate about IT, experienced in Product Ownership and convinced by the business added value of the digitalization?

The Airbus' Information Management (IM) division and Digital Accelerator department are looking for an API Product Owner (m/f) to join its API & Integration Products team in Toulouse, France.

Within the Digital Transformation of Airbus, the information technology of the company is being completely redesigned, to focus on creating added value for the business. API is a key enabler of the transformation.

The role of the Product Owner will be to optimise the value of the work of the API Delivery Squad. You will own the backlog of work and prioritise work items based on business value and the emerging API-first strategy; you will focus on faster time to market and the reuse of APIs within Airbus. You will combine high calibre communication skills with your attention to detail to help Airbus to design new solutions to evolving challenges.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your specific responsibilities will be:
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
ø Working as a member of the API Tribe you will work closely with business owners and IT teams stakeholders to analyse, assess and understand business needs and translate these into concrete, prioritised Product Backlog items,
ø Representing the customer, business and project needs within the API Teams Agile delivery cycle and bring clarity to the team on the needs,
ø Taking the lead on Epic and User Story creation, and the definition of Acceptance Criteria,
ø Accepting or rejecting work items as ‘done' at the end of each iteration,
ø Shaping the team vision and maintain a transparent roadmap for the team,
ø Evangelizing the API-first culture within Airbus and be the primary point of contact candidate projects.

This role will involve regular travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

Your Boarding Pass

ø Master's Degree specialising in Information Technology (or equivalent),
ø Proven track record as a Product Owner in an Agile/DevOps software,
ø Understanding of API and Integration concepts and solutions would be a plus,
ø Track record of quickly building effective relationship at all levels,
ø Coaching and guiding the API Squad and stakeholders in backlog concepts and contents,
ø Ability to resolve conflict and to work with others at all levels in the organisation,
ø Enabling creative thinking in yourself and in others,
ø Advanced level in English and advanced level in French would be appreciated.
