Description of the job

A vacancy for a Customer Engineering Support position has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Blagnac. You will join the SEEE team within the Department in charge of Air & Inerting Systems.

Within the framework of Airworthiness Authorities regulations, in agreement with the SEE management policy and procedures, you will be part of a team providing engineering assistance for Air systems to the customers, ensuring timely responses with good quality and with on-site assistance where & when necessary.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Answering all technical queries raised by the Customers within the defined time scale,
·  Analyzing all in-service events to identify potential impact (including airworthiness, reliability, cost, etc.), launching and progressing all actions necessary to find the cause of the events and initiate/follow-up development of corrective actions or product improvement with the Airbus design organization and the vendors,
·  Evaluating the cost impact upon the operators of various in-service problems,
·  Providing Customers with relevant technical information using all Customer Services appropriate means or media to improve their Nacelle system operation,
·  Providing Engineering support to other Customer Services departments,
·  Ensuring transfer of in-service experience and maintenance activities to the management, to other divisions of Customer Services and Airbus design organization including vendors,
·  Attending technical meetings with Customer engineering and maintenance organizations,
·  Using extensively and properly WISE database.

Outputs :

·  Contributing to improve the cost of ownership of Airbus Aircraft,
·  Ensuring Customer satisfaction for relevant Air systems of all the Airbus programs after delivery of the A/C,
·  Ensuring analysis of in-service events in order to prevent technical problems and solve them as required,
·  Providing the Airbus Customers with solutions for their in service problems,
·  Ensuring continuous Airworthiness of the fleet,
·  Ensuring the customers are properly informed of significant in-service issues,

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline,
·  Good presentation and communication skills (oral and written),
·  Knowledge in Air systems and interfaces/integration,
·  Good co-ordination and relational skills,
·  Customer service highly oriented,
·  Tenacity, Adaptability, Reliability,
·  Fluent level of English.
