Description of the job

A vacancy for a Cryptography System Project Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join the Checkout Systems division.

Within the space systems engineering organization, the Checkout Systems division TESC is in charge of delivering ground software and hardware solutions to enable and optimize satellite engineering, verification and operation processes.

The mission of the department TESCS is to provide satellite projects with a consistent and fully harmonized FVI (Functional Verification Infrastructure) Products and Services.
Within this department, the team "Ground COMSEC Product" is the factory for producing cryptographic systems.

The team is organized through Technical domain groups for Simulation (Hybrid, AOCS, DHS, Power/thermal/Mission and Delivery Manager) with the mission to provide industrialized products for multi-projects and a group is dedicated to Ground Cryptographic aspects. These groups are led by a technical leader, empowered to manage technical domain groups as a dedicated center of Competences / mini factory.

Key asset of the Ground Cryptographic Infrastructure (GCI) product is the capability for a dedicated program/project, to cipher/decipher data exchanged between the ground and the satellite. Such product is used both on AIT and operational environments.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

¤ Lead the development activities of Ground Cryptographic Infrastructure product which mainly consists in depth knowledge of the ground/board data link, the on-board OBC/DCU equipments then specification (taken into account user needs), conception, SW & HW architecture, SW development and maintenance of the system
¤ Lead the integration activites of specific hardware devices (depending on the projects' needs)
¤ Lead the validation activites into an integrated and automated testing environment
¤ Support to AIT & SCC team for system installation, configuration and acceptance campaigns

This role will involve occasional travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

¤ Educated to a degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering/Development/Integration/Validation/Delivery processes
¤ Software skills : Java, Netty, Log4J, C, C++
¤ Development environment knowledge: Eclipse, Jenkins, Waf, SonarQube, PMD, Findbugs, Jacoco, Checkstyle
¤ Operating system : Linux, Windows
¤ Data protocols knowledge (ex: Cortex, NDIU, CCMS, CCSD
¤ A background in Spatial system or sub system, satellite development process knowledge and ground hardware and software development in distributed environment skills are a plus
¤ Adaptability, organized and open minded in a changing environment

An advanced level of English is required for this position.
