Job Description

Summary

[INTERNSHIP] Tool migration, and tool specification and development into Airbus open data platform to support Navblue Runway Safety team activities

Navblue Runway Safety team is responsible for the development, the support, the deployment of avionics systems improving safety at landing.

The objective of the internship is to migrate, to specify and to develop tools into Airbus open data platform to support Navblue Runway Safety team daily activities:

·  Fleet analysis
·  Airlines support activities
·  Flight data exploitation for safety analysis
·  Market analysis
·  Systems design validation

6 Months internship to be filled from March 2020 (this date is subject to a certain flexibility)

Main Responsibilities:

The primary objective of the internship is to answer to already identified needs in terms of tools and metrics allowing to support the daily activities of the team and to improve the performance of the team. As part of this primary objective, the intern will be asked to fulfill the following tasks and responsibilities:

·  Needs analysis with the support of the products owners and the operational users (tool specification)
·  Design and development of algorithmics solutions for data processing on Airbus Skywise open data platform
·  Design of Human Machine Interface for the developed tools and for dashboards allowing to visualize the data
·  User manual writing if necessary

A secondary objective is to work on the identification of potential services that could be developed as a complement of the avionics safety solutions that are part of the Runway Safety portfolio. To fulfill this objective, the intern will have the opportunity to put forward proposals and to train his innovative spirit.

Education:

·  Engineering School student or Master student with a specialization in software engineering, computer science, big data processing or equivalent
·  Good knowledge of the aeronautical environment would be an asset

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies:

·  Advanced Data Analytics, big data processing
·  Descriptive Statistics
·  Data Visualization
·  Knowledge / Experience in Python, PySpark
·  Knowledge / Experience in SQL and Javascript
