Description of the job

A vacancy for Business Information Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Elancourt.

The objective is to support the Space Equipment growth and profitability targets and foster on efficiency improvement. To be part and to support the implementation of the overall improvement plan of Space Equipment comprising the key programs/work streams: End-To-End processes, Digitalized Information System, LEAN / APQP, operational functions related improvements as Program, Engineering, Configuration, Operation as well as key recurring activities as Continuous Improvement and Key User Network for Tools (Trainings).

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Management of Improvement projects / Work packages with focus on digitalization and related processes.

The objective is to support the Space Equipment growth and profitability targets and foster on efficiency improvement.

To be part and to support the implementation of the overall improvement plan of Space Equipment comprising the key programs/work streams: End-To-End Processes, Digitalized Information System, LEAN/ APQP, operational functions related improvements as Program, Engineering, Configuration, Operation as well as key recurring activities as Continuous Improvement and Key User Network for Tools (Trainings).

To report to TSPI as well as to TSP-internal focal points and line managers involved in improvement and functional and trans-functional teams.

Description of the activities:

·  Act as a Country Key User for PDM (Product Data Management) tool Windchill for Configuration and Documentation Management: Processes & tool continuous improvement together with the Key User Network, level 2 support to end users, day to day issues solving, users/tool administration & environment management, user trainings coordination, documentation team coordination,
·  Be an ambassador of Improvement culture & change in Mindset & Behavior
·  To drive and support improvement projects as part of the Space Equipment improvement plan OT, OC, OQ.
·  Coach and facilitate groups as for lean concepts, principles, tools and techniques according to the Lean Plan etc.

This role will involve some travel for business once every quarter in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Engineer degree level / Bac+5 (or equivalent)
·  Good knowledge of development and production of equipment. Previous position in more than one domain area as operational business/ improvement /business partner (IT or Infrastructure Management).
·  Knowledge of Windchill would be a plus
·  Experience of working in international, trans-functional Teams, commitment and delivery culture.
·  Open minded, creative and proactive way of working with the spirit of changing things.
·  Communication skills with sense of customer service
·  Team work and working in multi-tasking mode
·  Negotiation level of French and English
·  Knowledge of Spanish or German would be a plus
