Job Description

Scope of Role

We are looking for a Service Designer to work within our bid environment where you will be asked to work as part of a team providing service responses for ‘Pre-Qualification Questionnaires’ and ‘Invitation to Tenders’. You will also need to support business CSI projects.

Reporting directly to the Head of Service Design you will work with bid managers, engineers, commercial, finance and service managers to ensure that your design complements the needs of the overarching solution and that the service operations department approves the design.

You will travel on occasions to determine requirements, and present the service to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

You will provide ITIL aligned Service Designs (within the scope of the architecture) that meets customer and ISO20000 requirements,

You will produce the service management plan that explains the service proposal once in the operational phase. This plan includes organisational diagrams, roles/skills, concept of service operations, service processes (aligned to ITILv3), SLA’s, service toolsets.

You will produce the customer specific service catalogue,

You will produce a draft SLA and presenting to Service Managers and the Commercial Team.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

·  Write winning proposals having worked in a bid environment
·  5 years’ experience in Service management covering Design, Transition and Operations
·  ITIL Manager/Practitioner
·  Prince 2 foundation certificate would be a benefit but not essential
·  Financial and Commercial Knowledge
·  Ability to present at all levels within an organisation

This role is based at our Airbus Defence and Space offices, Newport, South Wales, with occasional requirements for business travel within the UK and abroad

You will need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role
