Description of the job :
An exciting and challenging opportunity is available for an Airframe Process Methods &Tools Development and Support Engineer (m/f).

You will be given the opportunity to evolve and set the standard for a new breed of engineer for the future, extensively developing and employing multiple engineering and digitalisation skills in a diverse global and collaborative environment.

Extensive knowledge and experience is required in engineering 3DEXPERIENCE platform toolset.

You will join an agile work methodology based team at Toulouse and be responsible for the development and support of all Develop Physical Aircraft activities at Airbus.
This will include aircraft that are in-service, under development and planned for the future and will involve extensive collaboration with the wider Airbus community.

The dynamic and articulate applicant will be required to drive change and transformation activities especially related to the introduction of new ways of working Agile, Self-empowered teams, Digitalization, Engineer of the Future and new business models and services and full virtual collaboration possibilities.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Leading the Process, Method and Tools (PM&T) initiatives directed towards engineering development focused on development or technical follow-up for digital twin initiatives and stress applications. Understand business needs and transpose into stress tool solutions capabilities, developing and supporting the end user,

• Technically leading and directing the local/transnational agile project teams in a plateau for developing tools to propose and initiate new ideas for physical Aircraft and to resolve any major process compliance issues and provide documentation,

• Giving specialist advice regarding process, methods & tools and support to the process operators (Engineers, Designers etc.) to carry out adherence to Airbus processes & methods,

• Transforming Operational support activities to improve business value and maximise Return on Investment (ROI) by innovation and new digital services,

• Working on a collaborative environment as a multi-skilled Methods & Tools team member acting as a specialist for airframe directing activities as required to develop and deploy engineering Methods & Tools solutions using Scaled Agile Framework way of working. This may involve co-locating with users or supplier and coaching key users,

• Identifying airframe stress needs in terms of sizing and tool capabilities and promoting new collaborative ways of working using latest methodologies and tools to ensure innovative new ways of working that will give faster superior solutions of improved quality,

• Performing reactive/proactive support, coaching and awareness sessions, benchmarks, validation and acceptance as well as performance tests of Process, Method and Tools Develop Physical Aircraft to contribute to diagnose issues, develop and support engineers for their required tasks.

Required skills :
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated to a 5 years’ degree in engineering or a related discipline,
• Extensive knowledge and experience in engineering toolset: 3DEXPERIENCE platform,
• Passion for new technologies and trends and excited at the prospect of building upon your existing technical knowledge (Stress, design, Materials) and learning new skills (digitalization, analytics and big data),
• Leadership and emotional intelligence,
• Autonomous, Self-empowered and Team Player, strong communication skills, flexible, engaged and curious,
• English at negotiation level.
