Description of the job

The flight physics models and integration department is in charge of the maintenance and the improvement of ATR performance and ATR handling qualities models. As part of the improvement of handling qualities models, used for pilots training on full flight simulator and by handling qualities department, the trainee's mission will consist in the improvement of the flight control model and particularly, focus will be made on the development of a dynamic flight control model.

Tasks & accountabilities

The first mission will be to write the new model specification from the analysis of the current model and from ATR documentations, then to implement this specification in ATR tools (C language).
The second mission will be the validation of the new model based on simulations results and flight tests data. The student will be in charge of the validation strategy from the creation of test cases to the aircraft representativeness in all flight domain.

The outcome of this training is the representativeness improvement of flight control in handling qualities model.

To perform this activity, the intern will have to work in close relationship with some ATR entities such as Design Office and Flight Tests.

Required skills

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experiences:

·  Studying an Aeronautic Engineering diploma at level Master II or equivalent formation with aeronautic specialization
·  Good knowledge of flight dynamic and hadling qualities.
·  Good listening skills, good relationship and autonomy.
·  C language and Linux.
