Description of the job

Within the ATR Engineering department, and more specifically the Air Systems sub-department, you will be involved in development missions on the different systems connected to air management (air conditioning, pressurisation, air bleeding and de-icing).

You will be based in Toulouse.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main activities will consist in:
1. Development: ensuring current and future developments in the context of revisions (as per the ATR product policy, obsolescence, regulatory changes and feedback on in-service use).
o Analysing needs and drafting specifications,
o Drafting plans, mainly for development, verification and validation (V&V), and certification (including regulatory analysis and discussions with the authorities),
o Ensuring the technical monitoring of suppliers (including drafting of the Statement Of Work),
o Defining system architecture,
o Defining ground and flight tests,
o Preparing the technical dossier (including the certification dossier).

2. Internal support to:
o production line
o airworthiness department
o documentation department (operational manuals, maintenance manuals)
o other ATR departments

3. External support to customers (technical assistance for specific points),

Required skills

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience:

·  Engineering degree or equivalent, ideally in Aeronautics
·  At least two years' experience in aeronautical systems and equipment development in the area of air systems
·  Experience at an aircraft manufacturer in the fields of integration, development and monitoring of ground and flight tests would be a plus
·  Sound knowledge of development and certification processes
·  Sound knowledge of simulation and calculation tools (generic tools excluding DALES software packages)
·  Knowledge of JAR/CS 25 regulations
·  IT: Proficiency in office software, MATLAB and SIMULINK tools,
·  Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (external: authorities, partners, suppliers, customers, etc.; internal: production, quality, procurement, support, etc.) and all in a multicultural environment.
·  English: negotiation level
