SIM is a department of ~600 people based in Bangalore (India), Toulouse (France), Hamburg & Bremen (Germany), Getafe (Spain), Filton (UK), Mobile (US), Beijing (China), and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Our main missions are: 

● Retrofit Solutions: Deliver and Support added value Retrofit solution packages to maintain continued aircraft airworthiness and improve Customers’ Operations & profitability 

● Maintenance Program Engineering: Deliver customer value through an array of services (from business development to the preparation of Planned Maintenance Service products, maintenance program optimization exercises and Parking & Storage) 

● Scheduled Maintenance Services: Support the operation and maintenance of all Airbus aircraft and all customers worldwide, from development of initial requirements to deviation management and optimization of maintenance tasks. 

● GSE Engineering: Engineering activities related to GSE & Tools (including Design, Services, Manufacturing Engineering & Front desk) for all Airbus aircraft and all customers worldwide 

ACCOUNTABILITIES / MAJOR END RESULTS 

● Ensure Customer satisfaction by supporting the airlines during the SB embodiment ● Take appropriate corrective decision under Senior SB validation approval to fix issues raised up during the SB embodiment 

● Ensure the interface between the Customer and all involved Airbus functions (Support Engineering, Engineering, Material support centre…) 

● Contribute to the SB quality improvement 

MAIN ACTIVITIES 

● Negotiate under the cover of Senior SB validation manager and SB Validation analyste with the airlines the timing and the commercial conditions 

● Act as Airbus interlocutor between the Airline’s engineering or maintenance line and Airbus system 

● As a team leader on site he coordinates all AIB staff activities in accordance with the procedures

● Manage a team of several people on airline site (Airline people or Airbus working parties and SB authors) 

● Manage regular meeting/reporting with airlines people 

● Ensure that information provided in Service Bulletins meets Customer expectations ● Cross Check the technical content of an SB as if preparing the embodiment of the SB and refer to Senior SB validation manager for advice 

● Create under Senior SB validation manager and PMO leader overview, a network with local Airlines and MRO. 

● Ensure and monitor all quality process improvement and quality assurance measurement 

DECISION AND LEADERSHIP AUTHORITY 

● Decides under the Senior SB validation manager approval the corrective action to fit on the a/c to fix the issue raised up by the airlines 

● Ensure the communication with the airline and Airbus back office 

● Evaluate the SB discrepancies under the Senior SB validation manager approval and launch the corrective actions. 

DIMENSIONS 

● Ensure between 3 and 6 SB validations per year 

● Crosschecks 20 SBs per year 

● Team of several people (average 2-3 people depending SB validation complexity) 

MAJOR PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED IN THE POSITION 

● Satisfy Customer requirements in terms of Service Bulletin quality and lead time and performance 

● Provide adequate information related to Service Bulletins to AIB Customers in a limited time frame… 

● Participate actively in relation with senior SB validation manager to solve Airline queries ● Liaise with all concerned Airbus departments to make sure that Customers’ expectations are fixed in a duly time 

Experience 

● Knowledge of the Service Bulletin world and Rules 

● 2 years experience in A/C engineering and configuration management (structure or system)

· 
4-5 yrs experience on Service Bulletin 

● Autonomous on A/Cs and in MRO facilities. 

● Knowledge of the part 145 world and the airbus State of art 

● Good knowledge of Airbus documentation (SRM/ASR, AMM/MP, IPC/AIPC, PMS, AWL etc…) 

● 

Soft skills 

● Capacity to communicate and be adaptable to different cultures 

● Most important a lot of patience, pedagogy and anticipation 

● A lot of flexibility family wise. Anticipate 2 to 6 months abroad.
