Description of the job

An apprenticeship position for a junior buyer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Saint Martin du Touch.

You will join the Fuselage MFT – Nose and Centre WPs department which manages the purchasing associated with aerostructures and fuselages. You will support the team with its daily activities as well as exceptional activities.

This work/study placement will start in September 2017 (subject to some flexibility) and is for a duration of 24 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main activities will be the following ones:

·  Setting up Purchasing activities for one or more products/suppliers
·  Securing the contractual framework between the suppliers and the company and ensuring the best purchasing conditions for the company
·  Taking part in sourcing activities and managing purchasing contracts by leading small projects, in the context of the targets set to reduce costs, protect the airline and obtain customer satisfaction

Required skills

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

·  3-year degree (or equivalent) in the field of purchasing with a specialisation or specific interest in all that regards the industry and technical products.
·  Proficiency in mental arithmetic and an interest in numbers
·  Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
·  Knowledge in contract management and negotiation would be a plus
·  Functional skills: Assertiveness, customer-oriented, interpersonal skills and good communication skills
·  Negotiation level of English
·  Advanced level of French
