Description of the job

A work-study placement for a work-study student (m/f) in the ADHERENCE TO THE QUALITY PROCESS FOR TORQUE-TIGHTENING OF AERONAUTICAL FASTENERS has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse (Saint-Eloi site).
You will join the Manufacturing Technologies department at the Saint-Eloi plant, where the teams are divided into skills centres (structural assembly and manufacturing of detail parts). The plant's Methods team is involved in the support of all programmes of the Saint-Eloi plant to answer to questions from the plant.
You will also support the team in charge of proposing improvement procedures aimed at cost savings.
The department is also responsible for the expertise regarding the set up of new assembly lines.
You will be required to work with production, preparation, line quality, process quality, purchasing or supply chain teams and you will work in close collaboration with various functions (Quality, Design Office, Scheduling, Production, etc.)
This apprenticeship will start in September 2017 (date subject to some flexibility) and is for a duration of 2 years.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Performing as-is analysis, consolidating and following up the Quality process associated to the fastening processes throughout the Airbus Saint-Eloi plant.
·  Implementing a technical and quality documentation toolkit that is adapted to ensure the traceability and sustainability of fastening operations and the management of the associated tools.
·  Setting up a protocol for the monitoring of the application of these quality procedures in the plant.
·  Providing occasional support to the manager on activities to be defined.

Required skills

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

·  You have completed a 3-year degree and are in an engineering school and you wish to pursue a work-study programme
·  You have knowledge of mechanics
·  You have knowledge of quality and industrial systems
·  Functional skills: You have good interpersonal and communication skills

You have summarising skills and are highly independent

·  English: intermediate level
