Description of the job

A vacancy for a Airframe Engineering RFE - A350 S19 Stress Engineer has arisen within Airbus AOSL Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join ESTB5A department.
New opportunities to join RFE Airframe Engineering (EST). EST is a transnational organization with presence in Getafe, Illescas, Puerto Real, Hamburg, Stade and Toulouse. Rear Fuselage and Empennage include development of HTPs, VTPs, S19, S19.1, Belly Fairing & Main Landing Gear Doors, and wing covers for several aircraft. EST is currently participating in the following Airbus programs: Single Aisle (A320 CEO & NEO), Long Range (A330 CEO
&NEO) A350XWB family, A380 family, A400M & Beluga XL. Activities include support to production and ramp up, and new developments.

A350 program development will continue beyond A350-1000. Several versions are planned for the following years including Ultra Long Range, Domestic and Regional. We are looking for candidates to be part of these projects!
Looking for a composite/metal analyst to join the A350 S19. The jobholder will be part of the product development team for the S19 in Getafe. Ideally provides a mixed composite/metal experience and some management skills.
Priority will be given to employees whose position is impacted by a workforce adaptation initiative.

Perfil buscado

Tasks & accountabilities

¤ Development of structure parts in composite/metal.
¤ Perform feasibility studies, structure analysis of pre-designs, detail part designs and assemblies in accordance with Airworthiness regulations. Apply structure analysis processes, methods and tools considering design principles, manufacturing and maintenance aspects.
¤ Ability to perform activities in concurrence with other program stakeholders including manufacturing and assembly.
¤ Look for innovative ideas to achieve weight optimization, determine structural capability based on pre-scribed allowable, methods and tools. Generate stress sheets/reports for manufacturing drawings, certification documents and ACDs in line with regulations.
¤ Knowledge of ISAMI tool would be an advantage.
¤ Ability to work within timescales as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team.
¤ Support and monitor subcontracted work packages. Work out functional work specifications.
¤ Design support to manufacturing (generation of repair solutions for Concessions, DQNs).

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
¤ Educated to Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or an equivalent qualification.
¤ More than 10 years of Stress Analysis experience in the aircraft industry.
¤ Approval signatory for A350 RFE, where this is not the case you will have the experience and capability to attain within a short period.
¤ Experience using Airbus Methods for stress analysis.
¤ Show an ability to influence all stakeholders and customers.
¤ Ability to communicate technical subjects effectively and accurately to non-specialists.
¤ Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. Spanish will be a plus
¤ Proactive, problem solving and decision making approach.
