Description of the job

A vacancy for an Advanced telecom payload architect (M/F) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join TSTE2 department.Within the telecom Advanced Payload project group you will be in charge of advanced payload architectures, mainly featuring future photonic equipment, digital processing interfaces between optical terminals and RF sections.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include

·  Participating to design (in line with market demand for such architectures), performance analysis, and simulations, equipment high level specification and supplier relation.
·  Participating to photonic payload development strategy and R&D planning, road map establishment and studies (internal studies,CNES, ESA, IRT, UE ..).
·  Interfacing with internal and external suppliers and with other internal entities (system group, proposal group...), national agencies and customer/industrial partners.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Master degree level in Telecommunications or a related discipline.
·  Competencies in photonique, signal processing,microwave
·  Autonomy and rigour would be appreciate
·  At least two years experiences
·  Negociation level in English is mandatory
