Description of the job

A vacancy for an A400M Material Support Services Deputy in Orleans (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, in Orléans (45), on the Military Base of the French Air Force.

The French Air Force has contracted Airbus DS to deliver In-Service Support (ISS) for their A400M fleet based in Orléans.

This ISS includes maintenance, engineering and material support services, which are delivered locally in Orléans for France, and managed centrally by Airbus DS COCs (Centres Of Competences) for all customers. The local organisation in place in Orléans is part of Airbus Military France, a subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space.

Inside the local material support team based in Orléans, you will report hierarchically to the local Material Support Service Manager.

You will have to:

·  Ensure that the contractual performance commitments related to material support are delivered, locally on Main Operating Base (MOB) in Orléans, in deployments off-MOB, and to the A400M MRO in Clermont-Ferrand,
·  Support the operational performance of the A400M spares pool, to achieve the above requirements,
·  Ensure that the material support services subcontracted to external providers are delivering the right level of performance (Inventory Management, Transportation, AGE Repair, Expendables and Consumables Provisioning).

This role will require occasional travel in Spain only at the beginning for training.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilites will include:

·  Supporting the Material Support Services Manager in ensuring that the performance delivery to FAF complies with ISS contractual obligations, and especially:
·  Working closely with the Material Support Manager and TASSM to establish the necessary priorities and objectives with FAF and internally,
·  Identifying and solving all material support issues with TASSM,
·  Ensuring that all requests to/by FAF are properly addressed, backed commercially, and reflect the real needs,
·  Ensuring that all requests to/by A400M spares pool are properly addressed,
·  Ensuring compliance of Material Support Services with Quality, Procurement, Export Control and Customs rules and regulations,
·  Supporting contract reviews and performance assessment.
·  Providing assistance to A400M fleet from all other nations according to arrangements set by such nations with Airbus Military,
·  Providing material support services to the local MRO, according to the contracts in place,
·  Ensuring that the parts delivered to customers comply with continued airworthiness requirements, and that all processes regarding export control, ITAR, customs are complied with locally,
·  Ensuring that obligations from customers regarding material support are fulfilled timely and at the required level of quality,
·  Deploying the material support part of NFF policy, with customers and with the central organisation,
·  Triggering all stakeholders to achieve and to improve the performance and profitability of all A400M support contracts for France :
·  Defining and monitoring internal Service-Level Agreements, performance indicators and yearly budgets as a flow-down from contract commitments and business objectives,
·  Providing return on experience for use in all departments of Airbus Military,
·  Issuing periodic trend-monitoring analysis for internal and external purpose ,
·  Proposing, and supporting deployment of, improvement plans (whether internal or on customer side),
·  Helping to set-up subcontracting agreements for inventory management, transportation, etc.,
·  Placing POs for services which procurement is delegated to Airbus Military France.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  2/3-year degree in Logistics, Manufacturing (or equivalent),
·  At least 3 years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities (managing material support services delivery to airlines, FAL or military customers),
·  Initial experience in team management,
·  Experience with SAP,
·  Advanced level of English and negotiation level of French.
·  An intermediate level of Spanish would be a plus.
