Description of the job

An A350 Electrical system installation area leader (m/f) position based in Toulouse has arisen.

As part of Airbus Engineering, this department is in charge of electrical installation of harness and equipment design for Nose and Centre fuselage.
A350 XWB, as latest program marketed by Airbus, benefits of the most up-to-date processes, methods, tools and innovative industrialization features. With a backlog of 700 A/C ordered and still to be delivered, this aircraft is continuously improved through incremental development methods, which generates sustainable design activities.

Your role will be to deliver, on time, cost and quality, electrical installation digitalized drawings to manufacturing, support plants
during physical installation, and customer services.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

You will be responsible of a deliverable set from design input to drawing delivery including technical topic follow-up, CATIA design, risks & opportunities management, planning adherence, product improvement (weight and cost), configuration management.
In this frame, you will interact with Risk Sharing Partner (RSP) and subcontractor.

With the support of several specialists, you will ensure compliance of your deliverables to relevant installation rules, in interface
with cabin, structure and other systems.

In your mission, you will have the opportunity to develop autonomy, expertise in electrical installation, extend your professional network (plants, chief engineer, program, maintainability, procurement, …) and acquire legal certification: TAP (technical approver), CVE (Chief Validation Engineer), airframe technical advisor.

You will be involved in digitalization projects (HoloLens, 3D print, virtual reality), and internal design initiatives.

This position requires occasional travels to plants (3 to 4 times a year), you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Educated to Bac+2/3 level (or equivalent) in Electro-technical or Industrial Mechanical or Industrial Product Design (CPI) degree
or a related discipline.

·  3D design and Digital Mock-up consultation (Trend/CATIA V5 EHI/EHA/Assembly design)
·  Knowledge of configuration management processes and business tools such as Pass SSCI, ICC, SAP DQN, RDR, IMADE, Electrical referential, proptool is a plus.
·  A first experience within A350 (Quality, System, Structure,.....) would be an advantage
