Description of the job

Airbus is looking for a 3D System Installation and Harness Designer to join the Airbus Fuselage Team in Toulouse, France

Within Airbus engineering, the Fuselage Team is part of the Airframe organization working on specific design for Nose & Center Fuselage and System Installation. We address all Airbus programs both in series and in development.

In addition, we are working closely with Programs, Plants and Customer Services from the development phase to the customer support ensuring that engineering definition allows airlines to operate our Aircraft.

Working with many different sites and partners, within a team of 900 people more and more multi-skilled & multi program, we prepare the future by improving on a daily basis product definition, processes and way of working. Our challenge is to add continuously value to our Customers.

In this context, your mission will be to ensure electrical functional design and integration of electrical systems for the Single Aisle program (A320 Family).

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

As System Installation and Harness Designer, you will be in charge of following activities:

·  Secure the integration of electrical systems from concept phase to implementation, including design concepts, interface coordination.
·  Deliver on time, on quality and on cost studies and definition dossier.
·  Ensure the creation of all relevant design data.
·  Plan and secure in time delivery according to the planning.
·  Manage and take into account the requirements from Level 1 (System Design).
·  Coordinate with all Engineering partners (Mechanic System Installation, Integration & Primary Structure teams).

Support to production to secure Schedule and aircrafts deliveries:

·  Handle of Non-Conformities, Concessions and Modifications (Configuration Management).
·  Check of definition dossiers implementation directly in aircraft during each manufacturing phase.
·  Provide the definition dossier for In-Service aircraft (Service Bulletin contribution).

Required skills

·  Technician degree (BAC+2/3) in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Design applied to the Aerospace industry.
·  A first Engineering experience in Installation Systems, Electrical Systems, Studies, Design bundle would be a strong asset.
·  Experience with Catia V.5.
·  Knowledge in Electrical Engineering would be a plus.
·  Good communication skills, dynamism, open minded, proactive and team oriented mind-set.
·  Intermediate level in English is required.
