Description of the job

Airbus Defense and Space is a division of the Airbus Group, born from the merger of the activities of Cassidian, Astrium and Airbus Military. Airbus Defense and Space (Toulouse) is looking for a trainee for 4 months as part of the development of an instrument for the measurement of carbon concentration in the atmosphere

Tasks & accountabilities

The purpose of this internship is to refine the transmission budgets of this instrument.

To do this, the trainee will have available a set of representative witnesses. He will also have to make representative samples himself. The characterization of these samples will be carried out on laboratory spectrometers available on the premises of Airbus Defense and Space. These characterizations will have to be completed by a bibliographical study.

Required skills

• You are in the 3rd year of a degree at the University or in IUT and you are specialized in spectrometry, chemistry or optics.

• You ideally have a first experience in the field of organic contaminant deposition and optical measurement means.

• We are looking for candidates with the following experiences and skills:

- rigor, analytical and synthetic mind,
- initiative, dynamism and curiosity,
- ease of integration, autonomy,
- excellent interpersonal skills,
- Advanced level in French and English.

• Skills to develop during the internship:
- contaminant deposits on optical surfaces,
- optical metrology / spectrometry,
- bibliographic research on the subject.

The 4-month internship will start during the first part of April (the date is subject to some flexibility).
