Purpose:

This role will provide application technical support to local IT teams in their day-to-day technical issues in ensuring the warehouse applications are running without any business impact. He/she takes care of implementing industry best practices across all warehouse applications/platforms. In addition he/she is aware of upcoming/new technologies to support solution architects in designing the future applications. He/she aligns & leases with the infrastructure on changes, issue resolution and day to day operations. He/she optimizes/reduces the amount of rework, thereby improving the total cost of development, through standardization, re-usability and first time quality

Key Responsibilities:

· Partner with local IT & Operations teams to help drive business decisions and re-engineer business processes; take a complex abstract level need as described by subject matter experts and break it down to the individual requirements that would aggregate to fulfill that need
· Participate in new process implementation activities
· Translate business requirements into external/internal design documentation
· Leverage functionality of WMS application to satisfy requirements from multiple business units and to facilitate business process improvement and innovation
· Ability to perform code review to comply with established standards and desired quality level
· Provide technical application support to the user community
· Collaboration with Global IT Infrastructure team to ensure continues monitoring database and WMS systems
· Collaborate with various teams (Global IT Infrastructure, Operations, Local IT leads, Global IT Security) to execute the change management for software deliveries
· Participate in the maintenance of software environments and follow standards for Software patches and change requests.
· Assist in development of production cut-over plans
· Ability to perform code review to comply with established standards and desired quality level
· Accountable for meeting project schedules by executing assigned project tasks
· Advise the project manager of project status and problems of specific assignments
· Resolve technical issues and escalate when appropriate
· Technical support for all test phases – unit, integration, performance, regression and user acceptance testing
· Develop and execute test scenarios required to verify system enhancements and new business application modules/release
· Provide input into the future functionality, implementation methodology and customization standards

Key Relationships:

· Project implementation teams (project managers, design architects, technical architects)
· Local IT operations managers and subject matter experts
· Technical experts managing other systems (e.g. MHE) in the warehouse
· adidas internal level 2 application support
· Strategic vendors (global) – Manhattan, WCS and Service Vendors for development
· Other internal adidas competence centers (Global IT Infrastructure, Global IT Security, Global Testing, Global Architecture Group)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities :

· Expert Knowledge of PL/SQL and relational database systems (Oracle preferred)
· Experience with Manhattan’s WMS (Warehouse Management System) or other supply chain execution systems is a plus. Experience with Java and the Manhattan “Platform” architecture will be an added qualification for this role, but is not mandatory.
· Experience with Supply Chain Intelligence (or any other reporting in Cognos environment) experiences are a plus
· Experience with ant/maven and other build tools in a Jenkins based CI environment is a plus
· Experience in Unix/Linux scripting is a plus
· Good knowledge of application performance tuning and refactoring
· Experience in working with virtual team setup
· Must be self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
· Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
· Ability to work individually or in a team environment
· Expected travel is 20% or less (International if needed)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

· Four-year college or university degree with focus on Information Technology or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive work experience
