Smartware Assistant Product Manager
Wolverhampton

We are currently looking to recruit a Smartware Assistant Product Manager based in Wolverhampton. The individual will support the business in achieving new and current product development objectives, liaising with key internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure all products meet the defined specification and consumer requirements on the identified markets. The candidate will be expected to travel both nationally and internationally on occasions to visit customers and suppliers.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

*Research and evaluate new suppliers against a set selection criteria
*Ensure new product requirements are met and aligned to business objectives
*Obtain new product samples from selected suppliers
*Present new products to key internal stakeholders/decision makers
*Maintain new product sample log
*Maintain contact with key suppliers to ensure the business is aware of their product roadmaps
*Customer Helpline staff training in line with product launch dates
*Support customer helpline with any customer enquires or concerns
*Lead 'Product Improvement Request' process
*Lead 'Product Issue' process with suppliers and Internal stakeholders
*Review, edit and suggest changes for product documentation to support product launches
*Create and maintain a test programme for all current smartware products and new launches
*Test and verify all new versions of firmware or hardware on products before they are launched to market
*Support marketing with product specifications, product packaging, manuals and adverts
*Run change control process on product range
*Assist with the Declaration of Performance process (DOP)
*Support the demonstration of smartware products at exhibitions and events
*Support and assist the quality team with any product related issues
*Create and assist with publishing product bulletins
*Maintain and deliver monthly reports on new products released into the market
*Maintain a supplier database including, names, regions and products supplied with up to date costs
*Create and maintain demo equipment for Product Management demonstrations
*Assist the marketing team with the preparation of demo units for the external sales team
*Support the external sales team with customer visits through product demonstration or VOC exercises
*Raise new part codes on the System
*Selected product management from mandate to delivery

Skills/Experience Required:

*Experience in a similar role within consumer electronics industry is preferred
