Hours: 9am - 5pm Mon - Fri

Salary: up to £22,350 (depending on experience)

Location: Chelmsford

Benefits: 25 days plus 8 public holidays pro rata

9-11 month maternity cover



The purpose of the role is to support the Safeguarding Team with the processing of DBS applications, administration and support of online training and maintenance of all safeguarding databases.

This includes: giving adult and child protection advice; safer recruitment practices; DBS applications; investigation and management of allegations; liaising with partner agencies; risk assessments and the provision of face-to-face and on-line training.

Responsibilities

·  Assist people that aren't confident with computers with accessing and progressing through the online safeguarding training courses either over the phone or by email.

·  Provide online safeguarding training reports for parishes upon request.

·  Organise local safeguarding training Creating training registers, recording attendance, sending out links to resources, feedback survey and certificates.

·  Use Eventbrite to create training events and so that attendees can book tickets.

·  Use Survey Monkey to collate training feedback.

·  Oversee and record Overseas Criminal Record Checks.

·  Use the government website to perform online Status Checks for applicants that have subscribed to the DBS Update Service.

·  Send out invoices for DBS checks for paid positions.

·  Provide guidance on the Safer Recruitment process and/or advise people where to find the relevant guidance.

·  Respond to telephone

·  Take messages, transfer and divert telephone calls.

·  Manage multiple email inboxes.

·  Collect, date stamp, distribute and answer post.

·  Produce accurate minutes for Safeguarding meetings.

·  Enter Safeguarding Team expenses and pay invoices using SAP.

·  Order stationery

·  Book meeting rooms and organise refreshments.
