BROMLEY
£17-18 HOURLY RATE (PAYE)
MONDAY - FRIDAY- 9AM - 5PM
3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)
IMMEDIATE START
JOB PURPOSE:
To help individual rough sleepers with the most complex needs to move away from rough sleeping, by assisting clients to navigate through networks of provisions in order to identify and access appropriate advice, support and accommodation services
THE ROUGH SLEEPING NAVIGATOR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with a caseload of 40 over a 12-month period, adopting a client-focused approach to develop a close working relationship with clients and gaining their trust, in order to assist them throughout their journey to independence.
· Conduct a bi-monthly rough sleepers count
· Where appropriate, complete and review client assessments including risk assessments
· Through the support planning process ensure client benefits are maximised and personal payments are made
· To attend meetings and multi-agency forums both internally and externally as required and give and receive information as appropriate around rough sleepers
· Design and deliver a range of in-house support
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
· Understanding of adults with multiple and complex needs
· Experience working with vulnerable people or groups
· Experience working in housing, homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, offending or other related field
· Knowledge of Welfare rights and benefits system
· Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
· Must be able to drive and have daily use of a vehicle
