RENT ARREARS SUPPORT OFFICER

WANDSWORTH

£12-16 HOURLY RATE

MONDAY - FRIDAY- 9AM - 5PM

3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)

IMMEDIATE START

THE RENT ARREARS SUPPORT OFFICERS MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Responsible for monitoring non-residential arrears cases

·  Provides tenants with welfare benefits information and gives basic advice and counselling as necessary

·  Advise tenants as to the implications of further arrears action such as court and eviction proceedings.

·  Prepare reports detailing the outcome of such interviews.

·  Prepares Notice Seeking Possessions and Notice to Quit on arrears cases

·  Responsible for the logging and circulation of all correspondence, both internal and external

THE RENT ARREARS SUPPORT OFFICER MUST HAVE:

·  An understanding of debt recovery procedures in a Local Authority or Housing Association environment

·  Experience of working in a debt collection environment

·  Experience of communicating effectively with customers by phone, email, letter and in person

·  Experience of interviewing and providing advice to customers

·  Be IT literate and possess good keyboard skills
