Production Planner

Location: Witney

Duration: 09 months

Working pattern: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 16:30pm

Adecco has a great opportunity to join our global healthcare client based in Witney. Predominantly you will be responsible for creating manufacturing schedules to achieve plan requirements and in conjunction with other team members and functions execute schedules to achieve productivity, cost and quality goals and objectives

Responsibilities:

·  Create manufacturing schedules to ensure our products are manufactured on time and in full to meet the Production Schedule

·  Analyse, communicate and account for any shortfalls when the production schedule is not met. Monitor progress against schedules

·  Highlight deviations and achievements by shift/area to the team. Use the schedule to generate headcount requirements versus forecasted output requirements

·  Ensure any key changes to product and work in progress (WIP) are communicated to all affected groups. Provide analysis of the manufacturing unit capacity and apply the plan to the unit schedule

·  Monitor and publish productivity and equipment utilisation metrics. Monitor/communicate the units adherence to the approved production requirements plan (the SIOP plan)

·  Become conversant with the paperwork flow within the manufacturing unit working with the team managers, set up systems to improve and monitor this to ensure shortfall in documentation does not prevent release of product on time.

·  Develop scenario plans especially for new products and on market design changes. Seek ways to drive through improvements in terms of productivity analysis, quality and cost control in line with Business Excellence initiatives

·  Be proactive in recommending Business and Cost Improvements in line with Business initiatives. Provide data and metrics where required for Improvement projects and issues outside of routine problem solving.

·  Maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System at the site in accordance with divisional requirements and the company Quality System

·  Compliance with EHS Regulations and company standards by adhering to EHS systems, programs and procedures, being accountable for the health and safety of themselves and others by highlighting where improvements can be made

Requirements:

·  Experience in a relevant manufacturing environment

·  Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes and understanding of MRP/ERP systems and planning tools and software.

·  Ability to analyse data and provide solutions

·  Excellent organisational skills

·  Strong attention to detail

·  Advanced Excel skills

·  Good communication skills both oral and written required

·  Be able to work as an individual or as a member of the team
