Adecco Aviation are very pleased to be working with this London Docklands based organisation who are looking for an M&E Technician on a 4 on 4 off basis working both days and nights

Reporting to and supporting the shift leader, your main responsibility will be to ensure that all services operate as they need to with the minimum amount of down time.

Day to day duties in this role include the following:

·  Proactively supporting the Shift Leader and providing technical authority and training whilst ensuring a high standard of work;

·  Deputising for the Shift Leader in their absence;

·  Working with and co-ordinating contractors in relation to PPM and ad-hoc works;

·  Carrying out routine and essential PPM as required across LV distribution, and associated plant and heating and cooling systems;

·  Investigating faults, identify root causes of faults and preparing accurate and timely reports on plant and equipment failures;

·  Developing a comprehensive understanding of the facility layout, function and complexities through developed practices and continuous assessment, staff training and personal development;

·  Ensure all health and safety legislative requirements are met such as DSE assessment and health & safety awareness and ensuring you are adequately trained for the tasks you carry out

Previous experience and qualifications:

·  City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ 3 in Engineering related subject

·  General education to 'O' lever, GCSE level standard

·  Minimum of 5 years' experience in Building Services Engineering and have excellent technical (HVAC and critical engineering plant and systems) knowledge and understanding

·  Previous experience with operating in critical facilities or environments

In order to be considered for this role you will need to be able to work your allocated shifts with no restrictions (i.e. study etc) and be able to commute into the London Docklands. You will need to have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years and able to provide 5 years of written references and support any gaps of 28 days or more. You will also have to undertake a criminal record check (standard DBS)
