Adecco UK are recruiting on behalf of our market leading Pharma client for a Lab Technician!

Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual for a contract temporary position to be part of an established multidisciplinary team in Reading.

The position requires a biologist or chemist with a minimum of 1 year laboratory experience covering aseptic technique, cell and/or tissue culture, and in vitro biochemical assays. Experience with basic cell and molecular biology is considered a strong plus.

The individual will be responsible for:

* Executing in vitro microbiology and cell biology assays

* Conducting work with standard laboratory equipment including centrifuges, spectrophotometers and autoclaves.

* Maintaining laboratory inventory, organization and compliance with all safety and QA standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

1) B.S./B.A./M.S. or equivalent experience in Biology, Biochemistry or Microbiology.

2) Minimum of 1 year biological research laboratory experience including mammalian and/or microbiology cell culture.

3) Competencies in basic data analysis and computer software including Microsoft� Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

4) An independent researcher, with excellent attention to detail.

5) The ability to communicate complex scientific information to non-scientists
