Adecco in Bolton are currently recruiting for a Coroners Officer to work for the local authority on a full time interim basis. The suitable candidate will have a working knowledge of medical terminology and have the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Duties will include;

·  Monitor reported deaths to ensure they are dealt with, efficiently, sympathetically and expeditiously

·  Deal with all tasks relating to inquests

·  Responsible for the efficient conduct of inquest files, including listings, hearings and liaising with witnesses and juries

·  Liaise appropriately with bereaved relatives

·  Discuss, process and accept death reports

·  Provide advice on the legality of issuing of death certificates to doctors
