Our client is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor that can lead and manage a team of cleaners throughout this rewarding summer project. Focusing on deep cleaning for accommodation in Sheffield, it will be your role to organise, lead and manage cleaners along with our clients requirements to get the accommodation cleared and clean ready for reoccupation by the start of a new academic term. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cleanliness, driven by targets and take pride from outstanding results. They are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor with a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes in a fast paced, quality assured environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Organise and direct a team of ready selected cleaners to ensure high standards of cleanliness are provided in line with site cleaning specification
* Oversee staff on a daily basis
* Issue daily rota's in line with targets and evolving needs of the site and assign specific duties/roles to cleaners with attainable monitoring
* Carry out site inductions
* Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards along with site / company policies and ensure adherence at all times
* Track, record and log progress along with additional services provided ad hoc such as bag & bin, without error
* Carry out daily staff meetings and prepare progress reports
* Provide daily feedback of progress, areas of improvement and concerns to management through excel & email report systems
* Be primary point of contact for liaison with on-site client and all cleaners
* Provide clear instruction to team of cleaners of their role, targets and expectations
* Log attendance, absence and authorise weekly timesheets for staff
* Carry out quality checks daily on all units completed in accordance with the site cleaning specification prior to signing off as complete
* Monitor quality standards consistently and be responsive and reactive on findings
* Identify and manage any below standard elements and arrange re-cleans where necessary
* Identify any team members not meeting targets or standards quickly and manage and re-train appropriately
* Manage staff absence and personalities effectively
* Act in a motivational, professional and appropriate manner at all times
* Resolve any issues that occur on the job professionally and efficiently to minimise disruption
* Respond to customer complaints and special requests as priority
* Control, monitor and request replenish of cleaning products & stock to avoid or minimise waste and/or misuse
* Inspection of cleaning equipment on a regular basis and issue requests for replacement where necessary

* Manage daily laundry at on site facility to replenish cleaning cloths and mop heads for continuous supply
* Manage rubbish removal from units safely and efficiently to on site bin stores / storage facility
* Coach and develop the skills, productivity and efficiency of staff
* Provide required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties
* Participate in hands on cleaning / training as required
* Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene policies in all areas
* Take responsibility for the overall success of the task along with ability and efficiency of the team

Skills required:

* Must have relevant experience in hands on cleaning along with supervision of cleaning procedures
* Must be methodical efficient and proactive
* Excellent organisational and team management skills
* Fluid in IT, Microsoft programs & email
* Be a meticulous planner with ability to multitask with ease
* Exceptional high standards, eye for detail and perfectionist approach to quality
* Possess self-motivation and the ability to identify and delegate tasks without direct supervision
* Ability to lead and manage a fast-paced team to strict deadlines without affecting quality of work
* Must possess excellent & professional communication skills in speaking, writing, and listening
* Ability to work as a natural motivational leader with a personable approach
* Positive, can do attitude to ensure clients timescales can be met adequately
* Ability to use commercial cleaning equipment and products
* Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
* Must display a high level of integrity and trustworthiness
* Excellent decision-making ability is a must-have
* Should have a clear understanding of customer service guidelines/principles
* Must be easily adaptable to change, moving targets and deadlines
* Must react cool under pressure and not be deterred working in a demanding fast paced environment
