Tour Operations Agent

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Tour Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

 

·  Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
·  Ensure proper reservation set up and billing procedures for tours
·  Provide other hotel departments with information regarding incoming and outgoing tours, Rocky Mountaineer guests and related tour aspects
·  Prepare for daily arrivals of tours as well as Rocky Mountaineer bus and train arrivals
·  Welcoming guests on the tour buses and answering questions about the hotel
·  Provide reception, cashier and information services of the hotel to tour escorts
·  Ensure the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by maintaining a knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures
·  Work shifts as business levels dictate
·  Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program.
·  Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
·  Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

·  Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language an asset
·  Previous Front Desk and/or Reservations experience in a Mountain Resort setting an asset.
·  Property Manager, Word and Excel an asset.
·  High School Diploma an asset.
·  Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
·  Must be a well organized, self motivated individual who works well under pressure.

You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.

Visa Requirements:   Applicants must hold the proper work authorization to be legally eligible to work in Canada.
