Tableside Assistant

Exceptional service and cuisine are hallmarks of the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts dining experience. As a Tableside Assistant, you will take pride in the integral role you play in supporting your Food & Beverage Colleagues and “setting the stage” for a truly memorable experience at The Bungalow.

Hotel Overview:  Situated atop the scenic bluffs overlooking Santa Monica Beach, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows is just a stone's throw away from some of Southern California’s best attractions including Santa Monica Pier and its historic carousel as well as Third Street Promenade -- famous for its fine restaurants, live entertainment, movie theatres, shopping, local artists' scene and a weekly farmer’s market.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, The Bungalow Lounge, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:    
·  Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
·  Assist The Bungalow Tableside Mixologists in all aspects of the dining experience
·  Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
·  Ensure the proper set up of all side stations in the outlet
·  Have knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
·  Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
·  Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
·  Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
·  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·  Minimum 1 year of previous tableside assistant experience in a fast-pace, upscale environment required
·  Nightclub or lounge experience preferred
·  Previous Point of Sale System experience an asset
·  Excellent communication and organizational skills
·  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
·  Highly responsible & reliable
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
·  Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
·  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position ( includes but are not limited to):         
·  Constant standing and walking throughout shift
·  Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
·  Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
·  Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
