Supervisor, Laundry

A memorable experience for our Guests and Colleagues is the essence of being a Leader with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. As a Laundry Supervisor you will supervise the laundry operations and maintain the specialized service standards of cleanliness and service of all laundry-related functions.

Hotel Overview:

Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, is located only a few steps away from the Masjid Al Haraam and the Holy Ka’aba. This 76-story hotel, one of the world’s tallest, is the focal point of the Abraj Al Bait Complex, part of the King Abdul Aziz Endowment Project. The Hotel authentic hospitality is seen throughout 858 rooms. 

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager Laundry , responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

·  Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
·  Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed
·  Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
·  Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost saving measures
·  Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications
·  Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
·  Complete inventory of uniforms and linens
·  Conduct training on laundry procedures, including safety procedures and equipment operation.
·  Operate and monitors washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery

          Inspect linens and terry for damage

Qualifications:

·         Previous supervisory or leadership experience an asset

·         University/College degree in a related discipline an asset

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills

·         Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

·         Highly responsible & reliable

·         Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision

 Candidate selection will be based on visa availability at Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel. We will assist successful applicants with the visa process and provide flights and accommodation
