Key tasks

MAIN DUTIES:
Responsible for the Safety & Security of the hotel guests, their belongings and the safety and security of all ambassadors.
Position Requirements:
SO SAFE OFFICER ( SECURITY )
SHIFT FROM 10.30PM-8.00AM
Valid Security License
Ability to walk and stand long periods of time
Able to work on weekends and Public Holiday
Certified in WSQ Security Operations or relevant courses
Minimum 2 years with relevant working skills in hotel industry
Possess basic computer skills
Able to communicate in English written or verbally, other languages will be an added advantage
Shift will be on permanent night and subject to changes if an emergency arises or if there is changes in operation requirement
Patrol lobby, guest room corridors, back of house areas, public areas and surroundings to detect any suspicious personnel. Keep an eye on any unattended luggage or belongings.
Conduct investigations and keep hotel Management informed regarding accidents such losses, theft, damage to hotel property etc.
Accompany the Duty Manager whilst investigating irregularities in guest rooms and public areas when required.
Record details of significant incidents and activities that may occur during the night
Coordinate investigations with the Police regarding crimes, accidents involving hotel guests and ambassadors
Ensure Security Checkpoint/Office is manned, clean and tidy at all times
Register all visitors, contract workers and casual labourers and issue them with security passes.
When necessary check visitors, night contract workers and causal labourers’ possessions on departure of the hotel.
Provide security for VIP guests if required.
Evict prostitutes soliciting for guests and issue them with Persona-non-Grata.
Patrol guest floor and ensure all rooms are locked. Report doors-ajar to Night Duty Manager.
Familiarize with the Fire Emergency Procedure. Respond to fire alarms when activated. Check all exits to ensure no obstructions. Inspect all fire extinguishers, lights and report any defects to the Security & Fire Safety Manager and the Engineering Department.
Ensure all lost and found properties are recorded in the Security Management System, all lost and found items to be handed over to Security for recording and safe-keeping and Duty Manager to be notified.
Attend to any complaint/report by guest on room lock and guest room safe.
Attend and assist Security & Fire Safety Manager to conduct Hotel Fire Drill Exercise periodically.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Chief Engineer /Assistant Security Manager.
