Job description

Key tasks

This role is very hands-on and involves all aspects of Front Desk operations & ensuring the safety of the hotel at night.

Your key responsibilities will include welcoming late arrivals, auditing the day’s transactions, preparation of daily reports, attending to reservation enquiries, safety and security for hotel guests and dealing with any guest concerns that may arise.

In addition to this, you will also be required to assist with F&B duties, attend to housekeeping and maintenance issues, solving of guest complaints and making operational decisions in the absence of the General Manager.

Essential and optional requirements

Minimum 1 Year experience as a Night Auditor / Receptionist In a medium to large hotel.
Ability to make sound decisions and problem solving independently.
Diploma in Hospitality or Hotel Management.
Ability to oversee the hotel operation in the absence of the General Manager
Strong organisational and time management skills
Have a good understanding of computer & OPERA knowledge and cashiering and reconciliation experience.
Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
Full NZ drivers license.
Ability to drive manual and automatic.
Managers certificate required.
Flexibility with availability particularly public holidays & weekends.
Successful candidates will have NZ Citizenship or residency.
