Key tasks

Sofitel Brussels Europe is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Night Audit to join our front office team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

Customer:
• Perform check-ins of the guests arriving late and show them to their rooms
• Handle early check-outs, closing the guest account
• Assist guests with concierge services (tourist information; restaurants, hotel and shuttle/limousine reservation, etc)
• Answer the telephone and handle the possible requests
• Handle possible walk-ins (guests without reservation) and eventually negotiate the room rate
• Handle the Fully booked situation
• Handle complaints and take decisions in respecting guidelines

Quality:
• Ensure the guest satisfaction at all times
• Supervise generally the operations in the hotel
• Be aware and warn security if any suspicious person would enter the hotel lobby
• Duty in charge of Security and Safety during the shift.
• Ensure the quality of the night audit work and give assistance/training if needed
• Ensure that the reports for accounting and department managers are done correctly / accurately

Profit:
• Check all the operations done during the day, correcting all the discrepancies in the cashiers, credit card report, PMS and Micros
• React positively and pro-actively to possibility of creating new/unexpected revenue (upsell during walk-ins)
• Follow the evolution of the hotel’s occupancy and revenue figures, inquiring if something seems inaccurately

People:
• Lead the team by being an example.
• In charge of night auditor
• Develop and train the new team members and insures the fulfilment of the hotel/chain standards and job descriptions
• Guaranty a good communication a relation with other departments
• Realise periodical evaluation of the team members
