Key tasks

Our brands need to be at the fore-front of the MICE Distribution and succeed in getting a strong visibility. The MICE Sales Manager position needs to demonstrate the ability to act as “Ambassador” for our MICE Hotels both within Accor Hospitality and within the MICE Market.

The MICE Sales Manager ensures due fulfilment of the general strategy and objectives for Meeting & Events segments for the Novotel Luxembourg Kirchberg and the Novotel Luxembourg Centre and the overflow for all managed Accor hotels in Luxembourg.
He is responsible for Developing of Mice strategy and creating tools and solutions to develop national MICE sales.

Missions:

- Setting-up the distribution for MICE intermediaries & agencies/direct Corporate: pricing according to size of meetings and channels (offline/online) and volume. Communication with operations is required to make sure this distribution is in line with the “place”/hotel revenue and client mix

- Participate actively in supporting the promotion of MICE Hotels through all sales offices worldwide. Assist the Sales offices in getting to know the brand, the portfolio, the market

-Making sure our Commercial offers (Convention Network, Incentives With Us, Meet with Us) are effectively distributed both online and offline with:
- Analysis of channels before implementation of any offers: e.g. congress sub-segment distribution with
Professional Congress Organisers
- liaison with Global offices to adjust this global offer to all markets
- Creation of offer in accordance with research and ROI wanted for year 1,2,3
- Promotion tools to clients: brochures if relevant, communication plan and relevant media coverage
according to targeted audience
- Attendance to trade-shows and selection of promotion-tools within the event/show
- Ensuring an effective MICE action plans with e-newsletter, banner of main websites and promotions
according to the relevant markets

- Produce the promotions in full communication with the Brands specialists and find the adequate actions to penetrate the market in full accordance with sub-segment example: how to we target the medium size meetings for all brands for Winter period. This requires an understanding of low/peak period in each country to maximise revenue and sell “needed period”. Implementation of a tool and yearly planning to communicate those promotions is required (liaison with Online specialist in Global sales)

- Build on offers launched to promote meetings and events: Le Club Accorhotels Meeting Planner offer, brands offer such as “Co-Meeting” Pullman. Assist the Operations to implement plans to penetrate market and gain visibility in their local markets and globally.

 Information :
Reports regularly on the market trends and the competitors.
Maintains the information concerning his/her assigned missions.
Ensures ongoing communication with sales offices and operations.

 Hotel operations:
Attends the meetings with the Operations and contributes his/her knowledge of the markets.

 Budget:
Complies with the allocated budget.
Ensures sustained usability of his/her entrusted tools.

 Assessment criteria:
Fulfilment of his/her assigned objectives.
Monitoring of the SOPs.
Optimised use of the ASA tool.
Contribution to changes in the business policy.
