MARKETING & COMMUNICATION COORDINATOR - Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

What you will be doing:

Marketing

·  Work with Executive Director, PR to execute strategic campaigns and engage followers/fans on all social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
·  Update and develop content and packages on brand.com as well as restaurant websites, including new vanity pages for events, attractions and activities
·  Work with iCrossing and Regional Director of Internet Marketing to implement suggested changes to the Fairmont SMI website, therefore increasing SEO
·  Using TrustYou Review Analyst, Local Measure monitor (ORM) review sites such as Trip Advisor, Yelp, Expedia,Hotels.com, Expedia.com, etc. Draft responses as necessary, keeping within the Fairmont brand tone and standards
·  Post dynamic content to key partner sites (Wholesale, Consortia, Wedding, CVent)
·  Work with Fairmont Corporate to stay updated on all brand internet marketing campaigns, toolkits and standards.
·  Participate in Corporate digital marketing call and report back to team
·  Participate in weekly sales team meeting to share new initiatives and best practices
·  Draft and edit advertising copy, radio spots and marketing materials including (but not limited to) direct mail, marketing posters/banners, in-house guest newsletters/e-blasts, brochures, transient marketing materials, sales brochures, facts-at a-glance cards, rack cards, e-invitations, print ads, web banners
·  Update and coordinate on property collateral, digital advertising via digital signage etc.

 

Communications

·  Post dynamic content to Yammer, LinkedIn and FRHI Talk
·  Assist in creation of guest messaging
·  Act as support for Executive Director PR as a spokesperson for community relations, media relations and hotel committees
·  Serve as support to ensure that Fairmont brand image and marketing guidelines and standards are upheld, reviewing all in-house and external print and digital materials as well as all creative developed by third party vendors including but not limited to:
·  Signage, e-vites, specialty menus and collateral produced by outside vendors/partners for wine dinners, specialty events, etc.
·  Resort, Spa and/or F&B e-blasts
·  Promotional listings/e-blasts for (example) Expedia, Hotels.com, Travelzoo, Groupon
·  Local publication editorial-calendar placements

Public Relations

·  Support Executive Director of Public Relations with administrative duties
·  Create itineraries, reservations, amenity requests for incoming media, liaising with any relevant departments as necessary
·  Assist in coordinating property sites
·  Maintain editorial calendars
·  Update media clipping portfolio and maintain press kits
·  Research publications and journalists as necessary in preparation of site alert
·  Assist in preparation of monthly PR report
·  Assist with hotel communications and print projects including signage, menus, flyers, resort activity guides, turndown cards, etc. as needed
·  Assist with hotel photo and video shoots, coordinate photo shoot resume, liaise with all relevant departments
·  Liaise with partner agencies including Visit California, Sonoma County Tourism and Sonoma Valley Visitors

 

Your experience and skills include:

·  Service focused personality is essential and previous Rooms leadership experience in a luxury hotel required
·  Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
·  Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
·  Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong network skills
·  Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
