Maintenance Technician- Part Time ( 35 Hours)

Key tasks

Sofitel Wellington is looking to recruit a enthusiastic handy person who is willing to learn and can use initiative to carry out day to day maintenance work.

Reporting directly to the maintenance manager, you will be a key member of the Hotel Team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

•Assist the Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day running of the maintenance requirements of the hotel
•Respond and action all maintenance requests within a timely manner
•General building and painting repairs
•Assist in keeping up to date records of the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
•Partake in the preventative maintenance programme

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

General building and trade knowledge with experience in a similar role
•Can-do attitude with an exceptional work ethic
•Strong eye for detail and great organisational skills
•Ability to be flexible and adaptable
•Capable of working independently and part of a team
•Take pride in personal presentation and confident communicator
•Computer and technology savvy
•Eligibility to work in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months

ABOUT YOU

Trade certification would be an advantage
Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hospitality or customer service environment
Self-motivation and discipline, someone with PASSION for quality
Strong problem-solving skills
Sound knowledge of health & safety in relation to your role
Basic Computer Skills are advantageous.
